A photo that looks like it should be in a frame, so we put it in one. ...and baby too. ...and baby two.

Kiddie Update

Elyse had her first haircut this past week. She was kind of stoic about the whole experience. I think she actually wanted more than four inches cut off but that was what we settled on. We had to wait an hour and a half while three other girls got their hair fixed up for a wedding. I was happy to see Elyse on her best behavior. Even Hayden did a great job of not fussing. Speaking of Hayden she is now rolling over and eating rice cereal. It’s amazing how fast time moves in family land. Here are some photos of that day.

The Bottom Falls Out

With my readership down for obvious reasons, i.e. lack of fresh content, I decided to revisit my blog tonight in hopes of pleasing some hangers on. We had some shocking news a few of weeks ago when Shalene’s work decided that her position would be cut. She has been actively looking for a job while spending some new found time with our girls.

I’ve taken up life on Facebook as opposed to here. I really would like to write more entries here but it just feels a little more like instant gratification with the Facebook.

For those of you that didn’t know, on the sidebar of our website is a four picture link to Flickr. Flickr is where I post most of my current photos. I wish you all well and I will try to send more information about the family as it comes in, but if you prefer real time, there is always Facebook.

Exploring

Shalene and I spent the night exploring Facebook, her on the laptop and me on the HTPC. You see when it comes to hopping on the bandwagon - I usually stumble before I jump – for good reason. We had fun surfing around looking for people we knew. After some time Shalene decided to go to bed. She was feeling a little bummed that nothing had gotten done around the house…and this is the reason you may never see her profile on Facebook. Me on the other hand, it’s another thing to occupy the free time I don’t have. But I’m not going to let that stop me.

Dora and David

As we passed under the second floor at the Mall of America and entered into Nickelodeon Universe, Elyses’s eyes exploded open wide. We had just passed under the Dora Ferris Wheel and we made our way in to the park. Elyse loves Dora - I suppose most 2 year olds do - but my little girl LOVES Dora. She loves Dora like most girls in the seventies loved David Cassidy, sheer infatuation. So you can imagine how excited she was to see all of these huge Dora figures scattered around the park.

Now that Elyse has reached that magical height of three feet, she is now allowed to go on rides. So, being the proud Papa that I am, I snapped quite a few photos. Here is the link
